Fundraising and Paying it forward, Valentine's Day Event!

We had a small misunderstanding with Friends of Nathan Foundation (FONF) and still have just 1 grand left to fund-raise. They have been most generous and even made sure to send payment for the full amount ahead of time so Rose can get her service dog asap. We have only 1,000 to go and it should come quickly :) after that any fundraising will go towards another local family who has started the fundraising process for a service dog of their very own. Rose is very excited about the idea of paying it forward, we are so proud.

Any future donations should be sent to http://www.thefonf.org/ and under the comment sections of the donation please be sure to mention Hunzeker Dog. Donations will still be tax deductible.

We have an event coming Saturday, Valentine's Day at Aw Yeah Comics in Skokie from 2pm to 5pm.

4933 Oakton Street, Skokie, IL 60077

(847) 423-2916

A collection of local artists will be providing custom sketches for a donation to our cause. We still have t-shirts available and will provide them at the event for a 20 dollar donation.

There will be a gala with the Friends of Nathan foundation March 7th, sign up with the provided link above and attend for a good cause!

Concorde Banquet Hall at 20922 North Rand Rd Killdeer, IL  60047

A little about this wonderful organization that has added Rose to their family.
They are a not-for-profit corporation that was established to provide financial aid and support to children with cerebral palsy and other debilitating diseases. Since our inception in 2007 to support a single child with cerebral palsy, the FONF has reached out to over 30 families with needy children and has provided funds and volunteer support for:

  • Respite Care
  • Specialized Therapies
  • Special Needs Furniture and Enabling Devices
  • Home Modifications (such as handicap ramps and bathrooms)
  • Service Dogs
  • Financial Aid for Uncovered Medical Services and CobraPayments
  • Special Needs Summer Camps

More Fundraising is coming, would you give your time?

Carson's is doing another community day sale and after the great success of their fall sale how could we say no! Our troop will be back to offering coupon books and accepting donations at Carson's on the weekends.

Are you interested in running a booth for 4 Paws and Rose on your own? There are plenty of time slots available for the month of January starting January 5th the event ends Feburary 24th I believe. We are more then happy to supply a poster board display, pamphets to hand out and t shirts to give for donations 20 dollars and up.  Contact me at 4pawsforrose@gmail.com

We are setting our goal for this Carson's Spring Community Days event at $2,400 which would bring us up to 70%.

Wish us luck!
